Richard Reynolds will join us for a presentation on digital assets and their role in current estate planning and taxation.

To call Richard an explorer would be an understatement. An avid traveler, he has visited more than 15 countries, lived in Japan for four years, and even trekked through the world’s largest cave, Son Doong in Vietnam. That same curiosity fuels his professional work, where he stays on the leading edge of standards and technology shaping business valuation and forensic accounting. His commitment ensures that every client engagement receives careful attention and a forward-looking perspective.

Richard Reynolds is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), both conferred by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Oregon and a Master of Science in Finance from Waseda University in Tokyo. Over the course of more than 1,500 engagements, Richard has provided expertise in fair value reporting, tax and estate planning, litigation support, and intellectual property valuation.

Richard has also testified as an expert in both marital dissolution and commercial damages matters. His testimony experience includes valuing closely held businesses, addressing personal goodwill, and quantifying economic damages, where he combines technical rigor with clear, accessible communication for the court.

Beyond his professional practice, he serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Columbia Northwest and has also volunteered as a Big Brother in that organization.
